Google’s Project Glass

Google unveiled on 4th April, 2012 (Wednesday)  its latest mouth-gaping, eyes twinkling and mind-buzzing innovation..”Glasses which pledges its allegiance to the wearers in using everything the web giant can offer through their ocular navigation”.

These supernatural-empowered glasses can set reminders, snap photos, respond to voice commands, display data like directions and weather, share statuses on your Google+ circles and a heck lot of things that you can suggest, ah yes, your ideas and stories are cordially invited..:)

The company revealed its project which is still in the initial stage through a post on Google Plus, its social network.

The trio involved in this project named “Glass” are the employees from Google[x] namely Babak ParvizSteve Lee and Sebastian Thrun. This project which has inspired more than one comparison to a Star Trek prop if completed will partly erase the term”sci-fi” from the pages of history and dawn the beginning of a new era of technology.

The post also includes a video to show what this technology could look like and what it might enable you to do.

“We believe technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.

A team within our Google[x] group started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment.” quotes the trio in the post.

The video on youtube is nearing 9 million views and more than 10000 shares on Google+….and already a wide amount of speculation has started among the viewers regarding its release.

A vision sure to lure people, like bees in search for nectar..no kidding! A vision worthy of Google!
