Melbourne – the place to be & see

Are you planning for a break or holiday abroad and not able to decide where to go ? Well, It’s your time to visit Melbourne NOW!

But why am I recommending this place of all places on earth without even being there ever in my life? The facts answers the question itself.

Melbourne is often referred as the cultural city of Australia Or because of the fact that it was ranked as the World’s Most Livable City in the World’s Most Livable Cities rating by the Economist Group’s Intelligence Unit in 2011 and back again in 2012. It was also ranked in the top ten Global University Cities by RMIT’s Global University Cities Index (since 2006) and the top 20 Global Innovation Cities by the 2thinknow Global Innovation Agency (since 2007). The metropolis is also home to the world’s largest tram network. Melbourne also hosts the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) that runs for 17 days in winters each year. The size of the film festival is second only to Cannes and it is Australia’s most critically acclaimed film festival. Melbourne is proud to be home of the world’s tallest residential building, the Eureka Tower. The tower also offers the highest viewing platform in the southern hemisphere, the Skydeck88. As the name suggests, it is on the 88th floor of the building and provides an experience not offered anywhere else in the world. Popularly dubbed as the “Edge Experience”, you find yourself in a switchable glass cube that slides out from the building. Literally, visitors to the Eureka Skydeck look at the world from a different angle. For Arts lover, Melbourne based National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) has a world class collection. It also has an Ian Potter centre which was the first public art museum dedicated to Australian art.

Art, Fashion, Films, Music, Food. All these words can be used to describe Melbourne and its vibe. It is home to numerous events that are famous around the world. Being home to a multicultural population, Melbourne offers cuisine from almost every part of the world. Greek, Italian, Asian, Turkish, be it any cuisine, Melbourne has top class restaurants and chefs for all. If you want to savor the delight of Melbourne’s ecstatic beauty to its extreme potential then you must stay for at least a week. You just have to be curious enough to venture off through the city, everything is worth looking at and every place is worth being to. It’s a panorama of amazing sights waiting to be snapped by your retinas!

Would you still deny to go there? I don’t think so. Of course I wouldn’t ever deny if I get a chance to ramble off to this magical and amazing city.
