Scrutinising IB – BNLF Mumbai

The beloved, largest and the most active blogging community driver – Indiblogger, is organizing the most disrupting blogging conference in the world, the first of it’s kind in the Indian subcontinent. Under the flagship of Blog Now, Live Forever (BNLF); BNLF Mumbai is the first episode among a series of similar yet unique conferences planned across the world. The first event of this season is staged to be held on October 31st 2015 in Mumbai, India. The red carpeted floors of the coveted hotel Lalit will be the venue where bloggers from all around the world will meet up to witness the biggest bloggers networking event.

This event is all about blogging and to stand by this rigid point, Indiblogger has handcrafted the best and the most radical agenda for the event (still a stormy surprise) which can only be experienced and lived through, to narrate the tales to the rest of the unfortunate and unlucky world later, by attending it in person. Therefore, the greatly amazing and attracting element of this whole whirlwind activity, for me, are the Speakers (carefully jotted down names, some of the pioneers of blogging in today’s blogosphere), check out this indipage which brags about the majestic speakers list. The fantastic personalities like Anshul Tewari, Arnab Ray, Bruce Dickinson, Christoph Trappe, Jeff Bullas, Kanan Gill, Preeti Shenoy & Purba Ray will be gracing this event and would also give a keynote presentation to share their experiences. Yes, you read it right, the legendary Bruce Dickinson, singer & frontman of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden; the uber funny Kanan Gill, who gained popularity by his youtube channel ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’ series; the keen observer and India’s highest selling woman writer, Preeti Shenoy; Jeff Bullas, the online blogging and marketing genius; a guy with a PhD in Computer Science, author, contributor to tens of news journals, Arnab Ray; the founder of the stood out digital news/media publishing platform for the current generation YouthKiAawaz, Anshul Tewari; an active blogger, an economist graduate who taught computers to high school students, and a columnmist, Purba Ray; and the content marketing influencer and authentic story teller, Christoph Trappe! Excited as hell? I know. Don’t wait, buy your tickets here. There’s a good news for all the bloggers, if you’re one, you can apply for a free pass here, though the seats are pretty limited, you know, so hurry!

Apart from the imperial guest list, it’s the knowledge sharing and networking that I am most eager about (if I do get an invite to the event). Let’s do some simple math, Bruce began writing when he got bored on road during a 1986-87 tour with Iron Maiden, that was 29 years ago! 😮 Preeti Shenoy has been blogging since 2006, that’s 9 years of blogging alone. Jeff Bullas created his blog in the year 2009, add another 6 years to our count. Anshul has extensive experience in creating and scaling up participatory journalism and combining it with technology and began it all in 2008. The humorous satirical writer Arnab started his blog on August 20, 2004. (Gives me the goosebumps that it’s exactly around this time in 2004 so that’s 11 years!) It really took me some effort to dig out when Arnab started it all, do enjoy his first ever post here. 🙂 Christoph began his blog in 2013. Purba started out in 2010. Kanan created his blog in 2009. So, summing it all up it’s 29 + 9 + 6 + 7 + 11 + 2 + 5 + 6 = 75 years of writing/blogging experiences alone! I can’t even imagine the truckload amounts of cognitive learning the people attending this event are going to get. BNLF Mumbai is absolutely going to fill the huge potholes of information gap related to blogging and it’s power in world as of today. So much that it’s gonna be a revelation for a mere mortal like me. 🙂 And this is not it, if I am lucky enough I may even get to be a part of the backstage Inditeam party, Inditeam is the circle of most amazing and down to earth people themselves. Let’s hope for the best! 😉
